A Little Introduction

At the start of 2025, after 10 years working as a freelance product photographer, I felt the urge to begin something new, a new project, one that combined three things I love: Photography, Wales and supporting local makers. 

That's where Rhoi began. The name, which means 'to give' in Welsh, was chosen to represent the curated gift collection. It was the perfect match for a place that sources beautifully designed practical products that also carry meaning and significance. Each item sourced will be able to give something; a moment of creativity, a tool to nourish or a piece to cherish. 

At the heart of Rhoi, the items sourced will take inspiration from Wales. Wanting to bring another perspective, without relying on novelty clichés, my aim was to showcase the work of incredible makers. A couple of which I have worked with over the years as a photographer. It was after focusing on the carefully crafted items as well as seeing the love being poured into every collection, that I built up such admiration and respect for these makers. 

As Rhoi grows, my mission is to continue working with local artists and makers, building a community of people who appreciate the beauty of craftsmanship, embracing the best of Wales and beyond.
